2014 Trek 3500

Trek's 3500 is a quality mountain bike ready for every adventure. Trek's aluminum frame is light for nimble handling, easy acceleration, and quick climbing. It's also built tough so it's fully capable of handing real XC trail riding. The 3500's 75mm-travel suspension fork dispatches bumps, rocks, and roots with ease, grace, and confidence. This trail-tamer delivers in the specs department too, with quick-shifting 21-speed Shimano gearing that makes easy work of the hills, and a set of Bontrager wheels with fat, knobby tires.

        Comments:

I have just recently turned over 200 miles on this bike. Only have had to replace front inner tube twice. Stock tires are not so great, very thin and poor tread life. Seat is comfy. Gearing from mega range to next gear seems like a big jump for a beginner rider when climbing.

            Comments:

I haven't been on a bike in a long time. So i decided to buy one for commuting and trail riding. I did a ton of research on Mountain Bikes and chose this Trek. Best choice ever! It handles very well on road and off. I took it to the South Shore Trails at the Lake Pueblo. I had fun riding this! The only thing bad i have to say about this bike is the pedals...they are plastic. Aluminum would have been nice, but thats something i would like to choose from and upgrade. Overall, Trek makes a great Mountain Bike!

            Comments:

I ride this bike on my commute to school everyday, and never have any serious problems with the bike, but during my weekend sessions out on the trails the bike preforms great in slow controlled environments, and poorly in the more technical trails. Its a good beginner level bike, but if your looking for a great everyday trail bike this isn't the one for you.
