Comments:

I bought a bike from Wal-Mart and it lasted 3 years. Went to Bert's and the first bike I found was this one. Took it for a test ride around the store - loved it! I ride at least 4 times a week along the canal or around the city. Has great shocks, the seat looks like it would hurt after a while but it doesn't!! The first time I rode this bike, I went about 5 miles and wasn't tired compared to the Wal-Mart bike. The price was a little high, but for quality you have to spend a little more than you want. Definitely recommend this bike to anyone who is looking for a new bike!!

Disclaimer: I am by no means an expert in bikes.I just bought my Trek Neko S a couple days ago and I love it! My husband and I made the mistake of buying our first bikes from a mass retailer and when we realized we really enjoyed biking, we decided to get better bikes. I can definitely tell the difference between this bike and my 24" x-mart mountain bike. The Trek Neko S has larger diameter tires and really smooth gear shifters that make pedaling seem effortless. I can go on for miles and miles. This is in stark contrast to my other bike; 2 miles, and I'm exhausted!I usually bike on paved roads in our apartment complex and around the area where I work. I have not dared to take my bike to the mountain trails yet but I did do a little bit of off-roading and I did notice that the bike did struggle a bit over rocks so that is something to keep in mind.

I wanted a bike with speed on the road and also one that could handle a little off road riding. This bike has everything I wanted. I can keep up with road bikes and not have to change bikes when I want to get off the pavement.

      Comments:

I wanted a bike to ride around all the great bike trails and paths around town. Often I would see road bikers off their bikes, due to road conditions, and comfort bikes that seemed to take too much effort. I did some research and it seemed the Trek Neko S would be the perfect fit for me. I can go as fast as I need to and can ride over grass and dirt/rocks easily. It's a nice hybird and so far I have no complaints.
