2015 Trek X-Caliber 8

Jump front wheel-first into the off-road world aboard Trek's X-Caliber 8. This sleek dirt-worthy bike starts with a lightweight Gold aluminum frame with Gary Fisher's proven G2 geometry. Complementing the sublime ride is a RockShox fork that gives you 100mm of travel to add even more cush and steering confidence to the big steamrolling wheels. Proven parts hang off the sweet frame and fork with Bontrager disc wheels with Shimano disc brakes. And, you also get the solid performance of SRAM shifting and the quality of Bontrager controls. And with Trek's Smart Wheel sizing, you're riding the fastest wheel size with the best possible fit. It all adds up to a ride more than ready for the off-road world!

Comments:

I bought this bike and raced it in the 29 Mile Ore-to-Shore in Marquette, MI. Great bike and great race. The only issues I had were with the bottom bracket and front brake. The bottom bracket kept coming loose, even after multiple adjustments. It came loose again at the starting line of the Ore-to-Shore, but tightened on its own during the first mile of the race. It's been good since then. The front brake is noisy. I'll try a new disc.
