The Bicycle Friendly City

Harrisonburg, also known as the Friendly City, might as well be known as the "Bicycle Friendly City" thanks to all the amazing cycling that is made possible by our die-hard bike community.  In 2012, Harrisonburg became the first place to be recognized by both the League of American Bicyclists (as a bronze level Bicycle Friendly Community) and the International Mountain Bike Association (as a bronze level Ride Center).  The Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition (SVBC) makes the cycling community of Harrisonburg and the Central Shenandoah Valley a center of safe, sustainable and enjoyable cycling on roads, trails and streets.  Shenandoah Bicycle Company is proud to be involved in the local cycling movement and supports all aspects of the community.
