ABOUT SBC

The concept of SBC was the brainchild of Tim Richardson and Thomas Jenkins in the late 1990’s. What started as a dream to open a community oriented bike shop in Downtown Harrisonburg became a reality when Tim and Thomas incorporated and started the shop build out at it’s current location in 1999. After many months of dirty construction work Tim and Thomas opened the doors of SBC in May 2000 where SBC still exist, just with a larger footprint. In 2023 Thomas became sole operator of SBC. What has made SBC strong over it’s first 25 years is a diverse team with a focused goal of serving those walking through the doors. Teamwork and passion continue to be the foundation of the shop and will help guide SBC into the next 25 years of service.
