RENTALS & Reservations

Whether you live in the Harrisonburg or just visiting the Valley, SBC is area’s bike rental headquarters. We offer full suspension rental mountain bikes from both Trek and IBIS as well as road and hybrid bikes from Trek. If an electric bike rental is what your are looking for SBC has a fleet of rental pedal assist hybrid ebike  and well as other selected ebike rental offerings. All rentals come with a helmet and flat repair kit at no extra charge. If you need to transport your rental bike we do offer 2” hitch rental bike racks from Kuat, capable of securely carrying to 1-4 bikes.

SBC offers rental reservations to guarantee rental availability. Please call or email us in advance for a rental reservation so we can make sure we have the right bike ready for you rental needs. A credit card deposit is required for all reservations. Reservations can be cancelled with up to 24 hours notice at no cost. Cancellations within 24 hours will still be charged 50% of the reservation amount.

Interested in a new bike but want to take it for extended test ride, then try one of the many DEMO bikes SBC has to offer. Our DEMO bikes are available to rent for 24 hours and 100% of your rental fee can be applied to the purchase of a new bike of comparable value within 60 days of the rental.

FAQs ABOUT RENTALS

  • SBC offers a number of high-quality trail maps of the local area. In addition, our staff are more than happy to share their knowledge and experience of local trails. We also can help you with a trail pass for the Massanutten Western Slopes trail system. See here for more trail info.

  • Since our rental policy is for 24 hour periods, we will make arrangements with you to drop the bike back off on Sunday 24 hours after you take it out. If you’d like to rent it for two days, you can bring it back Monday when we open up.

  • We want to make sure you find the perfect bike for your riding needs. If you’ve got your eye on a particular bike not listed here, we’re happy to work out special arrangements to get you out on a demo ride.
